The Office of Leadership Development works to provide leadership opportunities in all facets of a student’s time at Temple University. Therefore, partnerships with various organizations and offices on and off campus are crucial to the success of our programs and students’ learning and development.
The Office of Leadership Development understands that one’s education and development is most transformational when in and out of classroom learning is intricately linked. Therefore, the office works to both create and instruct leadership courses and build connections amongst the various Schools, Colleges, and faculty that offer existing leadership-related content.
DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS PARTNERS
In partnership with Student Activities, STARS workshops are held on various leadership-related topics through its STARS program for Temple student organization members. In partnership with University Housing and Residential Life, the Office of Leadership Development co-sponsors the annual Inclusive Leadership Conference. The Office also supports the Leadership Living Learning Community in the 1940 Residence Hall.
The Career Center and Office of Leadership Development recognize that Temple students' leadership and professional development go hand-in-hand. Therefore, any student that participates in Career Center professional development workshops or events will receive 5 Leadership Diamond Points per experience as part of the Student Leadership Challenge. We also partner with the Career Center for our Leadership Lunch & Learn series, which allows students the opportunity to meet community leaders over a free catered lunch.
