A part Cultural Unity Week, in partnership with Temple’s Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy, and Leadership (IDEAL), HERStory celebrates the cultural and social contribution of the black women (featuring black student organizations, black Philly artists, local performance groups and organizations) through performance and curated art.
Each year, students are invited to submit an art piece or performance proposal to be showcased at the final celebration. Through HerStory, participants are able to see a celebration of themselves, friends, or family expressed through art.
HerStory 2021 will include a special tribute to Breonna Taylor.
